As the sole designer, I designed an internal EMS system from the ground up, bringing five departments and their day to day workflows into one digital platform.

The goal was simple: replace fragmented, manual processes with one clear system that made it easier for teams to manage their work, information and communication.

A scheduling tool nurses use on a phone, one-handed, mid-shift. The entire brief was thumb reach and glanceability.

We tested on the ward with real rosters, which changed the information hierarchy more than any workshop did.

Not a component library. A set of decisions, documented with the reasoning, so people stop relitigating spacing.

Adoption came from pairing with each team on their next real screen rather than from a launch announcement.

Replaced a 14-step form with a resumable, offline-tolerant flow built for patchy signal and shared devices.

Most of the work was in the failure states: half-filled records, duplicate agents, and a signup that had to survive a dropped connection.
